Default Got a ticket for tail lights...

Got pulled over becuase my tail lights went out at night. The bulb doesn't sit in the socket tight enough. Bumps and going hard on the throttle at a green light make it goes out. I put electrical tape around it and it still doesn't work well. The other thing is...has anyone wired up the tail lights to make all four come on?

Sid,

Quick and "dirty" fix, but it works.

I had the same problem. Silicone around the bulb where it meets the socket. Put duct tape over the bulb to press it in until the silicone dries. Remove duct tape, and put lens back on. All done!

Easy to remove the silicone if the bulb burns out.

Cheers!
Dave

Car number 244 how old could it possibly be? and the lights are falling out! Come on Backdraft you need to step up the quality a bit. These cars go very fast and stuff should not be falling off of them. All of us owners have had simular problems in many areas of the cars. $28,900 will buy most new cars with a motor and transmission and bumper to bumper warranty. whats up?
