Me=1, rattle=0
From day one, I have had this squek/rattle in the car when I hit bumps. The sound would not occur when hitting bumps where the Cobra had an up/down movement. Only when the car would hit a good bump with a sideways motion would I get this annoying sound.
After the cars first hundred miles of life, I went through the entire car checking all the nuts and bolts which did not cure the noise. It drove me crazy. I would have freinds ride with me and we could not figure out if it was the rear suspension, front suspension, or exhaust. Really had me stumped.
So last night I pulled the car out in the driveway and heated the engine up. Its to cold out and with the wet roads, I had not had it out in a while. After heating the engine up, I pulled it back into the garage, shut it down and lifted the hood to warm the garage up.
When I grabbed the hood prop to support the hood, I heard this squeek. It was sitting kind of loose in its down position. I gave it a wiggle and squeek squeek it went. No way that could be it. I grabbed a rubber band and wrapped it around the hood prop to keep tension on it while its layed down in its holder. Started the car back up and took it for a spin. NO MORE SQUEEKING! YES!
