Start Button
Was over at Vintage today and saw the new start button they are putting in the newly arriving cars. Much nicer than the stock ones. Ordered one for mine.

Jay,
Best $40 I ever spent on that starter button
Now, we just have to find the spot for the NOS switch, oh, and the extendible wings....

This was my first mod...installed same day I took delivery (after a few rides of course). Most likely the one Jay is using?

Here is the pic from build #435 at Vintage.
http://www.vintage-motorsports.com/gallery/BDR435/adl
I am having the same one put in my car. (build #479). Looks to be the exact one 6t8 used. Doesn't light up by design.
Hope that helps

The hole needs to be enlarged a bit...I used a step bit. The two wires unscrew from the factory switch - it would be best to solder the new wires.

I like my plain button. If someone trys to steal it, it's all the more they have to try and figure out. Hopefully they'll push the horn button instead.

Jay,
Are you putting this button in all the new cars (499)? Or is it an option?

Left my Austin Healey 3000 with a valet once and went to dinner. Came out and the car was exactly where I left it, they couldn't figure out how to start it because it had a start button!

Doc,
It's a small upgrade/option we do. I'm waiting to see what your car has and where though?

Not much to the packaging....made by a company called 'Function'...not even a UPC or anything on the pack...

Here is the manufacturer. I bought mine from Finishline, but if this one looks the same and illuminates (mine does not) I would prefer this one. The on from Finishline you will have to solder the connectors, but if you click on the next page in the link, the terminal end looks much heavier. Illuminating button would be great.
