Vintage Motors keep getting better!
Jay our Seamless Aluminum Plating is only as good as what its applied to and I must say that the hoods on your Backdraft product are beautiful even before our process but I also have to say that it looks right on them too

ohh good grief that's incredible ....... how can one possibly resist having that done
Anyone done the inside of the doors? Wonder how that'd look.
Doing the body would look incredible, but I know how much that'd be.

I think the hood on the left is for my car (BDR#479). Looks great! Can't wait till Jay gets it installed.
Now, if I could just seem to find a motor to put in the car.......
Great looking product Ron

Thanks Whiplash and very nice color combo, Jay has a nice selection of roadsters with some beautiful color combos in his cobra candy store.

Can this be done on any Cobra replica hood? Is it possible to ship a hood out, have that done to it, and ship it back?
James

Aldersonjames .... yes it can - that's how those hoods were done. The process will work on any fibreglass surface. MM even did a wooden model aircraft with his coating.

I keep telling Ron to move to So Cal...he'd make 5X the money, have nicer weather year-round, and then he could work on more stuff (like my car).

Ron,
Much as Jay might hate me pulling you West, San Francisco was around 75 Degrees today. Perfect Aluminum plating weather
Plus there's alot of "people" that might like a ride around here. Do my BDR body as an "example" and I'll let ya borrow her when ya have a date

Well since we have an exclusive arrangement... hahaha.
Just getting back online. Right now it is snow and ice, perfect weather to test drive some 450+ HP vehicles with rear wheel drive and a rolling weight of under 2500lbs.
If I had nice weather everyday, I would not know what to do with it.

Plenty of sun and work in San Diego... 75 and Sunny, 340 days out of the year.
Maybe I missed it, what is the going price?

I have a solution for both of you...Texas has plenty of cheap land, lots of people, good driving weather and is about mid-point between the West and East coasts!!!

You're looking at about $500 to have it removed, coated, buffed, reinstalled etc.

Well looks like I'm stuck here, no flights out and no flights in, I wonder how long it takes to drive from CT. to Texas? and for those interested if you go through Vintage Motors its around $500 you can contact Jay for more info.

Ron Good to see you here. 1 Question about the coatings. Would it intesify the heat in the engine compartment at all.
