Roz,
The hood looks great. I am still considering the treatment for #499, but am not sure how much contrast there would be with the titanium paint. I wonder what it would look like with a highly polished finish; similar to an aircraft's finish?

Ron will have to answer that. You really need a very high polish for it to contrast the titanium effectively. Unless you go with a darker shade of metal (that is also an option).

If there was an easy way to crate and ship a hood, I'm sure there would be a path beating to your door (or Metal Morphosis').

It has been done. You build a wood crate for it pretty easily. It should cost under $150 total on freight. Don't rule it out.

I believe you. But the earlier hoods for SPFs are not an easy item to procur. With my luck, my expertly packed crate would be THE ONE that the cyclops working on the loading dock would run over while driving the fork lift. Can't take the chance.

What is the cost of this option? Is it the same cost in an original build and as a retrofit?

If you think you need more of a contrast I can add the brushed stripes like in the pictures, the nice feature of the aluminum is that if you get tired of the stripes they can be polished out very easy.
PS
Jay I have someone that I want to bring by to see that beautiful black cobra you have under cover

Ron,
Found the small hoods and mini-noses... I'm going to work it out and try and get it into the new facility budget.

Ron,
Is that my hood? I don't think it is, but my car is sterling silver AND at Jay's shop atm. Really liking the lines (read-if it's not my car I'll take the lines before the car ships in a little over a week).
Just got the dyno numbers on my 351-496 HP. Gonna make the hood look really nice

Sean the hood in the picture isnt yours but not a problem to apply that effect to yours hood, I will stop by Vintage Motors and pick it up, apply stripes and bring it back to Jay.
Jay the little desplay hoods are a great idea, its going to be great having a place that all cobra owners can go and see your new products and get together and drule over the club owned cobras

hood stripes
I think with my dash the whole under hood done in your stripe pattern would look great. What do you think Jay?

Ahh Ron,
You are the man. When it's all together please don't hesitate to pimp the pics here and use me as a reference. I saw the pic on Vintage today-it's almost done! #479.... Now I just need to wrap the stripes into the lip under the hood
Thanks again-what a great product. When I get to having Jay build my track only racer-I'm going to have you do the body.....
