Tony
Something that we could all use and need are replacement parts. Things that are hard to find and are unique to the car like, door bumpers, side pipe hangers, springs, steering assemblies, gas tanks etc. We need to have an inventory over here in the States so we can get items quickly. With the somewhat short season we get to enjoy these cars its no fun when your car is down waiting weeks for parts. Maybe Vintage could be a parts warehouse where we could call in case of breakdown or accident.

It really would help a lot.

1988 Mazda B2500 pick-up truck. I picked one up at Napa for $15.

hawaii...

Sounds like you have a Wilwood on there and not the "factory unit". Call your dealer to confirm. Or post a picture.

I agree - it shouldn't be too much trouble to put together a complete parts list on the car. Obviously some things change over time others are unique per the options\engine\etc purchased, etc but would be a good starting point. Maybe even a mini service manual - wouldn't have to be too fancy at first - function before beauty.

I'd be willing to help out searching and/or assembling such information - I'm sure others would be too!

Default Thanks

Thanks For The Start OF YOUR Sugestions And The Parts Request.

Reg Is Currently Building Up A Full Inventry, including Body Pannels.
As Air Frt.is Extremly Uneconomical We Are Shipping Parts As We Have Space In The Containers.

At The Moment He Has Most Parts Available Ex Florida, except SOME Body Parts,as There Has Been A Bit Of A Run On Them Lately.

WE WILL ALSO SEND REG A COPY OF OUR LATEST BILL OF MATERIALS,WHICH IS VERY COMPREHENSIVE,AND MORE IMPORTANTLY HAS A FULL LIST OF OUR PART NOS.WHICH WILL MAKE ORDERING A BREEZE.

I Have Also Asked Him To Discusse Inventry With ALL OF OUR DEALERS.

We Will Have All Parts Ex Florida Within The Next Few Months And Hopefully All Of The Faster Movers With Jay And Our Other Dealers As Well.

Thanks Again For Your Input.

I can't send a compressed picture to this site due to the size of our file. Can you email me directly at candace.fukudahanle@hawaiiantel.net so I can show you the pictures.

Aloha,

the unit is a 1988 mazda L4 2.2 liter is the one that came on car #260, (advanced auto parts #0728342, this was the number on 9/18/2006, also, the 2.6 liter is a top bleeder version).
My slave failed because of overstroke, according to the Backdraft boys in BB, Fla. They sent me a new one, this ones seal was in bad shape, didn't even use the new one. My failed seal was in better shape. Honed the slave cylinder because of a sever out of alignment of the cylinder to the fork,...this caused the push rod to rub on the bore, plus the over-stroke...caused leakage, draining all fluid overnight. Adjusted the stroke and its been 6 months on the re-aligned slave and honed unit...still good. BTW...stroke adjustment are the nuts on the shaft from the clutch petal to the master cylinder. If you get a replacement, I'd dissassemble it look at the seal to make sure it has a good lip and the bore looks good. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the help everyone.I talked with Craig at Custom Cars today and it turns out I have a Wilwood pull type unit that was done for the setup they did for me. The problem was that there was no name or part number on the slave and Reg told me originally it was a stock push set up. Am going to order a new one today from Summit.Jay,can you cancel the stock slave I ordered and I want to add a set of the new style black floor mats to my order.

Jim

Jim,
I'll alter your order and change it when the floormats arrive the end of this week.

Thanks
