BDR's at MID OHIO June 19-20th?
Hey kids,
I'm the 29th car to sign up for the driving school. I'll be in Group 1(newbies). Who else is going??? I spoke with Reg he said he is going to be there with his car.

I've been toying with the idea. right now the motor is torn down, looking for a source of some unwanted clanging and banging. If it's back together, a lot of other ifs too. Doesn't seem like too many track junkies around here. Hopfully that'll change.

I got an answer to my questions about Tech inspection. Looks like I got some work ahead of me on the car to make it track worthy. Anybody know where to bolt the "crotch" belt so it is tech worthy?

Sid,
On my car the crotch belt bolts down using the two front bolts that hold the seat to the car frame. The strap has two metal rings on each end that get sandwiched between the seat tracking and the floor with the bolt passing through the ring. At the middle of the strap is the attachement loop that hooks up with the rest of the seat belt harness.

Sid,
There's a factory cross bar under the front of the seat that you can drill through and mount it too.

Sid I presume you are going to install a high back seat. If you need pictures of the install of a Kirkey intermediate road race seat, let me know.
Cheers,
Richard

Mine attach at the same point that the lap belts do. They come up under the leg and to the latch... simple. Anti sub belts should be behind the chest line. Mounts should be strong enough to hold the car in the air!

If you have an overflow tank, that should be all you need.

Just got done ordering new brake pads from bimmerworld.com Looks like Reg is giving them a lot of his money! They know him by name there!
I went with the Performance Friction z rated front and rear. The 01 compound is for track only. Mine are Street Performance. Just an FYI. See you kids there!
