Xenon Headlights on a Backdraft?
Anyone know if its possible to upgrade the headlights on the BDR cars from the crappy halogen, to a xenon system?

I've changed to a few different types of bulbs on my daily driver but really don't notice much difference to be honest. Color only really.
You can change to a true HID system on a 7" round bulb but it's very expensive. (Around $1000 the last time I checked) It has to be auto-leveling to be DOT approved and as far as I know, you loose the high beam. Maybe something new is out there but that's my experience.

We have a retrofit kit that we will be selling through our store very soon. It will be true HID with a hi/lo and also DOT approved housings. It is about a 3 hour install but the results are amazing.
Street price should be in the $400 range. If you can wait a week or 2 more.

Jay,
The one that's on sale on the parts store, is this the true HID set discussed here? Has anyone tried this?
Who else drives around with only their high beams on at night? I do, but then again they are pointed pretty far down...

There are plenty of retro kits out there to go from an H4 to a HID bulb. I purchased mine for $200 and it was worth every penny. Hi/low work fine. The draw on the battery is less to there is no problem there. It takes a little bit of wiring but it is pretty easy. Ther is a post here somewhere that shows where I got them from.
