Default Rear Shock Part Numbers

My rear shocks have started to leak. Does anyone have a good brand and part number for replacement shocks?

in a previous post it was stated that they are a VW bug rear shock. I haven't seen anything else. I would alos liek to knwo so I can switch out to some Koni's, which I think would work well for the weight of the car.

The rear shocks are from a 1969 VW Beetle. I replaced mine with Bilsteins & have been quite pleased.

Default new shocks

I bought new bilstein shocks like speedysnake stated. They made the car too rough in rear for me but would be great for track racing. Went back to stock shocks. The 69 bettle shocks were the right size but you have to cut down lower bolt sleaves. I used a saw saw and worked fine. I sent my bilsteins to vintage. If you want a firm ride in the rear use bilsteins. Just be prepared for the big differance.

AC,

They are Bilstein B46-0034-H0. Check out the forum at www.backdraftboys.com for more info on the shocks and modifications needed to fit.
