Took the plunge!
Well, after about 3 1/2 years lurking about here Cobra-less, I have finally stepped off of the curb and in front of the speeding bus...uh, I mean Cobra. Last night I decided that I was going to pick up a BDR at some point anyway and didn't want to wait until the price went up. So I called up Jay and laid down a deposit on a black BDR with; roundels, white stripes, red leather, red rookie stripes, dual roll bars, tonneu(SP?) cover and FE mounts/headers. Right now I’m planning on getting the headers and sidepipes done in ceramic white. Yee Haa! Of course I won't have the roller until May or June but I'm really in no rush.
Many thanks to all that have responded to my somewhat inane questions and I’m certain that there will be more.
ROUCHAC; Dave, thanks for showing me around in London, introducing me to Jay and letting me try your Cobra on for size. It really helped solidify my choice.
Jay thanks for answering all my questions in such a patient manner! From now on you are my homey! You to Dave.

Congratulations Lovehamr! As good as it feels now, just wait 'til your first drive. Nothing like it.
By the way, looks like the peaches in GA really are sweet. (avitar)

Congrats Hammer.....
I have heard good things about BDR and you waited until you were sure.
BTW Does your BDR look like the Cobra in my Avatar ?
Enjoy the build and the ride. nothing but smiles your way.

Steve,
There will be many Backdrafts running with the DSCC at Roebling Road in Savannah, March 21st and 22nd. Make a point of coming by. I think Reg Dodd, and several of the Backdraft guys will be there too.
Cheers,
Richard

Congratulations Lovehmr, bought my Backdraft through Jay last year. I love the car and the service I have received from Jay and Brian has been second to none. During the build and a year latter they have quickly responded to any thing I needed.
No rush you can wait until may? Wait until you see the build pictures of you car on Jay's site. Your going to go out of you friggin mind. I was in Mexico last year and had to find a computer to see the daily updates of the motor going in. What a great experience.
By the way I really liked your avatar until I saw 392 cobra's avatar. kinda hypnotizing.
I wish you the best with the new car.

Thanks guys!
392cobra - I think that they are at least cousins!
Tony Ripepi - Yes except the red rookie stripes and leather. I think I'm gonna do my pipes in white as well.
madmaxx - That price increase is what knoked me off the fence
Bailey - Already a member of DSCC and am planning on being there with my Saleen.
Smokingcobra2 - I'll be doing the install myself so I guess I'll have to politly decline your generous offer!
peters44 - I don't even have a chassis # yet and won't fior a few weeks. Jay says that mine will be a high 600 or low 700 car. So I guess I'll just sit around and dream for a while.
Anybody want my 88 Saleen? Gotta make room! Pics in my gallery.

Thanks again. I don't know how I missed this thread. I am glad you kept us in mind and we are humbled by the comments from everyone.
Went to a number of shows this year just to meet people and get the word out, glad it paid off so Brian did not get suspicious about my expense account for the year

Steve,
Congratulations on the purchase of the BDR!
BTW - I'm certain that your avatar could be used for some sort of hypnosis therapy. It puts me in a trance everytime.

Steve, Stupid here can't find your photo gallery.
My Mustang guys might be interested in your Saleen.
Sweet move, ordering a BDR. No regrets, I hope?

Congrats, Steve!
I REALLY hope this doesn't mean that you are going to change your avatar.

Steve,
It is hard to see the camera icon on your and Fred's posts because of your Avatars. Warren sit clicking of Fred's avatar for five minutes trying to get it to enlarge.
