You can get the WIDE seat by special order. In fact the standard seat now (circa chassis 500 or so) is wider than the earlier cars. But we also have the "Relaxed" model

And is the "Relaxed" seat BIGGER than the "W I D E" seat? I have #128 and hips do not fit in the seat. California cobra had made a 2 inch wider and a 4 inch wider seat. What are the specs on the WIDE and the RELAXED?
Thanks,
AL

I have to beg, borrow, and steal to get the wide seats. Well actually I have to order a car from the factory with them. I have one black one in stock, but it is mounted to an old office chair base and we use it as a demonstrator.
They should be available through the manufacturer.
The only catch is you will lose some slide/travel. If you are on the shorter side you may not be able to get close enough to the pedals, but I have not seen that as a problem.
We are installing some alternative seats in an upcoming customer car. But they are tighter than the BDR seats, which surprised me.

Try corbeau.com they have a classic and classic II seat. I sat in the classic II and was very comfortable. Also comes w/ optional lumbar. The site has dimensions on all seats to check fit. Brian
