Clutch Master cylinder
Okay working through the bugs, I noticed a small leak of clutch fluid by the pedals, upon inspection the boot was torn and fluid was leaking out. Does this mean my master cylinder is bad? also what master cylinder do these cars use for the clutch? mine is an early car #42.

usually if the fluid is leaking out of the boot, the seals inside are bad. Does BDR not use an aftermarket like Wilwood or similar? If so, the rebuild kits are like $20. I have to rebuild the ones in my race car annually. If it is a wilwood type, you can find a local dirt track shop for a rebuild locally. daymotorsports is in Tyler TX which I don't think is too far from you.
i would assume you have somehting like this:

the clutch master on mine (#89) is a Wilwood... but I suppose one of the previous owners could've replaced it.

Patrick, a Wilood 3/4 master will work perfectly. You can get them at Summit or Jegs.

FST FOX, the guys at KCMotorsports there in Plano should be familiar with BDR's, front to back. They were very cordial to me in '04 under... adverse circumstances.
Say Hi! to #42 for me, she was my first love.
