Default Polyurethane motor mounts for a BDR

Has anyone had any luck locating Polyurethane bushings for the small block engine mounts in the BDR? They would look like the red ones in the picture and have to be 1-1/2" tall by 2-3/4" wide.

Thanks for any help.

I haven't seen any yet, but it would be a great idea for an alternative. Backdraft does have a solid motor mount though that seems to work very well.

I'd like to hear about those results as well. Could be a useful item.

Stay in touch...

Best of luck, James

I ordered a set from Carr Industries per RK Naval above and they worked out great. They were about an 1/8" higher but no clearance problems. The rubber ones were starting to lean. A little on the expensive side but now I shouldn't have to worry about them again.

I had a local machine shop make some solid aluminum mounts for me. I gave them the dimensions of the rubber mount and they duplicated it.
When installed I did not like the feel of the motor vibrating through the frame, so I went back to stock.

Now thinking about Urethane. I am thinking about making a "hockey puck" looking thing out of urethane. I am going to make a mold from a cup or maybe a beer can. Then fill the can to the proper width, let sit and cut the can away.

Simple and cheap.

I think there is more to it than making a mold and pouring your own mounts. just my .02
