Default Make a Wish Mustang Done by Canepa

The last time a group of us stopped by Canepa Design (when Tim's buddy from Australia was visiting), Llew Kinst of Canepa gave us a quick tour of the shop to check out the projects they were working on.

The first car we saw was a pink Mustang. I think everyone's first response was "Why would anyone do that??"

Well, Canepa and his team did the restoration for the Make a Wish Foundation. Unfortunately, Briana (who owned the car) died during the summer and didn't get to see/enjoy the completed car.

Here's a picture of Bruce Canepa presenting the car to Briana's mother.

Kudos to Canepa and his team!

Doug, my faith tells me that she's upstairs tearing up the countryside and cruising by the beach in her car. Very cool what those guys did for the family.

A sad story indeed. A group of us finished a 56 Belair for a friend that died while we were restorig the car. Same thing we presented it to his mom, I think it ended up meaning more to her then to him (which is a good thing)

Not to take away from the story but what is the golf colored body work in the back for?

Wow, Briana was only 18 when she passed away. How tragic. I cannot imagine how her mother must feel.

That's a Porsche 917 in the background.

Picture of Briana on the dashboard in the links above---what a pretty girl.

It was a surprise to see a pink Mustang, but once we got the story it made prefect sense.

Bruce Canepa and his crew did a great job making Briana's come true ... so sad that she is not here to enjoy it. This has to be incredibly difficult time for her family ... but Briana's sense of style and spirit lives on.
