Third Annual Lake San Antonio Cruise and BBQ
Spring is just around the corner so it is time to mark your calendars for third annual Lake San Antonio Cruise and Bar-B-Q. This year’s event will be held on Saturday March 27, 2010 at the Lake San Antonio South Shore Lower Marina parking lot. The event hosted by Central Coast Cobras will start from the same two locations as in past years. Participants coming from north of the lake will meet at Salinas Airport off Hwy 101 in Salinas between 9:30 and 10:00 AM. From there Mike Kaplan will lead the cruise down to the South shore gate to pay entrance fee and then to the Marina parking lot by the boat ramp for a great BBQ on the shore of the lake. Participants coming from South of the lake will meet in Atascadero at the Curbaril Exit off Hwy 101, between 10:00 and 10:30 AM. From there, Howard Love will lead the cruise to the South shore gate to pay the fee and then to the Marina parking lot. The Monterey County Parks Department has graciously agreed to again provide a large party BBQ, picnic tables and porta poties for our use. We will be setup in the lower paved lot right along the shoreline near the boat ramp. Be prepared for warm weather, more food than you can eat and a fantastic view. All types of enthusiast cars are welcome to join us. Cost for the BBQ is $5.00 plus the gate fee to get into the park.
