Default High Octane Goodness - Available Where >?

Greetings, ! I wanted to start a thread that would have links to the various moonshiners and distillers of over 82+ octane gasoline.

I know that The Union 76 in saratoga (hwy9 & big basin way )has Sunoco 100.

I also found these on the Sunoco 100 website.

Kings Union 76
975 Woodside Road
Redwood City, CA 94061
(650) 364-9620

Damar Petroleum
1201 Almaden Expwy
San Jose, CA 95118

Any others >?

I didn't know the 76 Station in Saratoga has it. My engine seems to run great on lower octane, but a little bump of 100 octane wouldn't hurt from time to time.

Just before an autocross I'll stop by the Union Station at the corner of Almaden and Camden for a little 100 octane. Doesn't sound like a good place to have tire work though. So who's going to collect prices from these places? Rich

Every chance I get. I haven't checked since the new year and new law, but they used to have 110 and 112 LEADED Sunoco but not from the pump. You would have to ask to have it pumped into a gas can.

Last time I was there, it was about mid-$6/per gallon.

the saratoga 76 is pricey for sure. -- It would be nice to have some options.

My 5.3L runs fine on 92, but she spools up way faster on a 50/50 mix of 92 and 100.

I am just bummed that the 50/50 mix is $50/$50.

My super duper track car only gets the best 87 octane at the track.

Buy it and burn it while you can... Sacramento is putting a stop on providing Race Gas by the pump to vehicles driven on the street.

Read it and weep: http://www.arb.ca.gov/enf/advs/advs397.pdf

Is all Unleaded 100 octane gas currently sold at the pump considered "non-complying racing gasoline?"

The advisory references "Leaded and unleaded racing fuel that does not meet the California RFG specifications." Is it possible that the unleaded 100 octane meets the RFG specs?

This topic has been discussed already. There is unleaded racing fuel sold at the pump now that meets the guidelines. Read the bottom of page 1, which starts "Many refiners..."

The unleaded racing gas that meets guidelines will still be there.

Thanks Rodney. I scanned the document, but missed that line at the bottom of page 1.

No, for the station on Woodside Road. I haven't checked in after the 1st of the year, but late last year one could only purchase the LEADED Sunoco 110 and 112 octane by bringing them a gas can.

Leaded 112 makes an unbelievable difference in my car. I get a full tank after winter service at HFR and I replenish at Thunderhill a couple of times a year.

Just 10.5:1. I get my car back after a FE Specialties rebuild this week. Can't wait to see how it drives.
