Decided to add a little vintage look to SNKVNNM
This week I decided to address my "rusting" side pipes. I still want a single-pipe exit but just not finding the time/motivation to visit Steve to assess what can be done. It'll probably wait till the winter.
This time around, I went with white for the color using some VHT header pipe paint. Thanks to Jon Miller for sand blasting the rust and old paint off!
While he was doing the sand blasting, I went online to Finishline Accessories and took the dive into the static cling vinyl decals.
The finished product doesn't look too bad:

Thanks for the compliments.
I chose white primarily because as you see in the 3/4 view, it simply matches up well with the stripes.

Herman,
Looks very cool, nice combination with the blue paint! I'll bet the inside of the pipe will darken up pretty quick!

the area where the tubes bend back are taking a slight browning - kinda like toasting marshmallows!

herman,
I like the white side pipes. Had a hard time cleaning my stainless steel side pipes on my cobra.
check out the sticker layout on this site:

Is #5 for FFR?

Hey Ron, thanks.
I like the spacing I chose. I don't really care to crowd the stickers too much. It's not like a funny car. I do however, may think about moving the meatball closer to the front of the door.

Looks great and is a lot ( metric tonne ) of money cheaper than any coating you could do. --plus it looks vintage - which is a bonus!
