I have a dmv printout done every year for my commercial drivers license, it shows every point you get when you do a voilation, its called a dmv pull notice program, every trucking company in calif has this , it lets the employer know if a driver is getting to many points, after so many points, wham you lose your licence. Its the same thing for regular drivers, any ticket you get, you receive a point or half a point, after so many points in a year, guess what no more license.

Have had run in with highway patrol 5 times. Started when stopped with a wide load. I had wide load signs on, red flags on all parts that were to wide. Was pulled over and told I needed flags on side not hanging over. Was told should put load in middle not to one side. I have hauled wide loads for 31 plus years with no accident. Tried to explain why I load the way I do and He did not want to hear. This is the big surprise, almost every ticket you get is now a misdemeanor, I would have just paid fine and been done with it , but I'm not a criminal. I have a clear class one license and want to keep it clear. I had no choice but to go to trail and I won. Had to do the same the next 5 times I was stopped. All small infractions I received were misdemeanors. I had to go to court all times or I would have had a rap sheet. I won all 6 times and the H.P. finally stopped harassment. You can not afford to get stopped any more for anything.

I try to avoid the scales at all times, the trucking industry is under fire right now, and the reason being, we all know why, its called money.

First they came for the hogs, usually louder and nastier than the Cobras, but guess who they came for next? Rich

Two years ago my wife borrowed one of my cars when hers was in the shop and got a no front plate ticket while parked in Palo Alto. It was parked nose to the wall so they were looking; $75 fine. This is only about money. I was amused, she was not.

Actually not the "Benjamins" yet, It's a Grant, a Jackson and a Lincoln.

sorry,
Mike
