Palo Alto Concours Sunday the 26th
Anyone planning on attending Next Sunday's Palo Alto Concours? The American marque is "Ford" so I am looking forward to seeing some nifty old flatheads with minimal bling. It would be nice if they had some special parking for us, as in the past, otherwise I'll be forced to bring my old Corvette to park with the rest of the civilians. Rich

I've never been to one of these before. I will see if it's in the cards (because the wife holds the hand.)

My friend, Dan, will be showing his recently restored 289 at the PA Concours. I'll be out of town, so to those who attend, "Have a great time!"

Dave: The Cobra knows only parking on grass or pavement. The Corvette knows it all (proletariat parking included), except it got to park at the end of the Shelby Corral in the Paddock at the Sonoma Historics, as the wimpy Cobras (like mine) were afraid of the weather. For good reason. Rich

I wish I could go, but we're going to a frigging play in the city.

Might be best just to take the daily driver. Most of the spectator parking is across the street in a parking structure. All of the grass parking is for the concours and some advance corral parking.

I plan on being there with the Cobra. It will be parked inside at the Superformance tent. For anyone that has not been to this show, it is worth it to go!

I didn't send my registration in this year. Danette and I are thinking about attending, but $50 to look around at cars!

Spectator tickets run $20 in advance and $25 at the door:
Palo Alto Concours d'Elegance
The local Sunbeam Tiger club will also have a special parking corral there too.

Let's see - I'll be on the field about 6:30am Sunday to help another Lions person guide the 20+ hot rods that will be part of the special display section..also HMSA will be showing a few vintage race cars (no idea what cars will be shown). Believe there will be over 450 cars for this event, not including the parking corral or cars for sale activity.
I would definitely try to park in the enclosed structure across from the field - your car will be nice & cool...
Cobra is still in a deep coma (trying to wake it up now!), so I'll be driving my old 540i and parking it in the first stall on the bottom floor of the parking structure...hopefully I won't get a flat on my old, old tires...
See you guys on Sunday somewhere on the field...George C.
