Revised departure time:
6:15 from Park & Ride Johnson Dr. Pleasanton
AHHHHHHHH!!!!!
I've been following a number of threads both here and on other sites and it looks like since there is such a concern regarding the number of cars that will be "allowed" in the Cobra corral that people are planning on getting to the track at "o-dark-thirty" to insure they have a spot.
Not Necessary.
So why the change in departure time?- This new time should get us to the track so that folks don't miss any of the activities
I just spoke directly with Oren Felles of SAAC and "THE CORRAL ORGANIZER" for this event.
- If you currently have a Corral Pass, you have a space in the Cobra Corral
- Parking WILL BE TIGHT (expecting 200+ Cobras, but there will be room enough so no one is boxed in)
- There are NO corral passes available for Sat. All requests beyond the allotted space are being placed on a waiting list
- NO Corral passes will be available at the track (SO DON"T GET IN LINE UNLESS YOU HAVE A CORRAL PASS)
- Additional General Admission tickets will be available at the gate for $90
- Corral Parking-Try to get to the track by 10:00AM ( Oren's request, so that volunteers can enjoy the rest of the day)
- 11:55 AM – 12:15 PM Cobra Corral Parade laps (if you are in the Cobra Corral you are included if you wish)
Schedule
8:15 AM FF Cobra Coupe photo (not sure if this is only FF-Coupes or other coupes too, it is being coordinated by FF-Coupe owner "Karen" and will include Pete Brock. it may be a bit difficult to move cars while others are parking. This is not organized as part of the event )
8:45 AM – 9:05 AM Bonhams 1793 Cup Race 3A – 1962-1967 Shelby Cobra
11:55 AM – 12:15 PM Cobra Corral Parade laps
1:00 PM – 1:20 PM Rolex Race 3A – 1962-1967 Shelby Cobra
So there you have it. Leave whenever will work for your interest & schedule you will have a space IF you have a Corral pass.
Hope to see you Sat.
Mike
