breakfast at Alice's - pretty much every week
Hi All,
I am a relatively new Cobra owner, about a year in. I have a Backdraft, silver with red stripes and red interior, a Smeding 427 through a Tremec TKO600. I'm posting because I have seen a number of threads with announcements for breakfast and I have breakfast at Alice's pretty much every Sunday.
I live in Emerald Hills and like to leave my house at 8'ish, head down Canada Road to Olive Hill Rd., and up Kings Mountain Road to Skyline. If the dew point is low I am not so anxious to leave early in the day as I have found this car to have a high pucker factor on wet roads... but up on Skyline in spring and summer the mornings are typically glorious. This time of day on Sunday is great because there are few bicyclists on the road and even fewer cars so I have a clean shot up Kings Mountain. Parking at Alice's is open and a seat at the bar is always available, even more so for tables. After breakfast I'll head down Skyline to Page Mill or all the way to Saratoga, sometimes I head right at Alice's and go through La Honda to the coast... if the day is particularly gorgeous I'll head down through Ben Lomand and come back via 17... hopefully after a tri-tip sandwich and glass of Racer 5 at Henfling's.
I will sometimes have my 6 or 11 year old son with me, they are always up for a ride. I haven't met many Cobra owners but those I do meet are always friendly and engaging. Should you find yourself with the urge to head out for a drive on a Sunday morning, I would look forward to meeting you.
