Making Laguna Sound Leves
I am determined to run SPF 973 at Laguna (w/o lifting up the hill!)..I have contacted both www.carchemistry.com & www.stainless-specialties.com...in addition to Southwest Performance, who made the georgeous, flawless & perfectly fitted (to my ported Victor,Jr. heads) 4-1 collectors...In addition, I have contacted SuperTrapp...As I understand it, my stock SPF sidepipes have only 2" tubes inside...and are too loud for LS' 90-92Db limits ...SW Perf makes exact replacements that are much nicer & more "correct" looking, in 2, 2.5, & 3" tube diameters w/i the actual sidepipes...Darrell at SW Perf is confident that he can fab up complete 3" pipes w/ swappable turnouts, with one accepting or enclosing a multi-disk SuperTrapp or equivalent, and the other empty, or easily bolt on/off complete sidepipes integrating the "mufflers." The tech at "Car-Chemistry" is intriguing and perhaps a combination of the two may prove best. Do any of you have any experience or advice on this topic? Thanks. JM
