Talking Bay Area--Are you going to DVSFII?

Folks,
Are any of you planning on getting back to Ohio in late June and interested in a caravan (driving or towing)??? Turk, ERA and I are putting some plans together and would love some company.

P.S. Do you allow Valley folks in your group?

Jamo,
I'm planning on going east for the DVSF II also. I'm also up in the air about driving or towing!.

Thanx,
Dennis

Jamo, as you can see from Dennis' location, yes we allow "Valley people". We have no rules prohibiting this, in fact, we have no rules!
Everybody's welcome.

Dennis
Either way--you want to join up? Current thinking is to leave on that Tuesday to make it comfortably on Thursday, and start home the following Monday. It's a long freeking drive... Do you have access to a trailor?

Rick
No rules--oh goody, one of dem clubs. I'd like to be a part of it--I'll try to make some of those breakfast meetings. Can't make that Saturday nite affair (in-laws' 50th wedding anniv.), but you guys are gonna love David K and his power point.

Thumbs up

Turk, ERA, and Jamo,
I’m going to DVSFII. This year I’m taking the beast. Was a great experience last year even without the car. (No comments about Turk's attire. I promised)
I’m not sure about the caravan. I have family in the area and plan to go early and/or stay late. I did tow my car to DV’s shop and then to PA after the Spring Fling last year (in July) and I can attest to the fact that it is a long haul.
I broke down in See-for-ever, Kansas on the way home. (Lost a fuel injector) It’s good to be with others you can send for help. Or swat the flies in the hotel room as you wait for parts. The locals that did help me were top notch.
So, keep me on your list as going to DVSF II. If you found some one to haul them all, I would consider that deal, too.

I really want to go to DVSF, but I won't know
if I can until it's almost time. My daughter
is graduating and my son is visiting from the
east coast, both in June. Like Terry, I have
family back east, and may want to go early
and/or stay late. I would love to drive the
cobra, but would feel more comfortable as part
of a caravan. I will try to firm my plans as
soon as I can.

Jamo,
I will probably use lunch at Harris Ranch as
an excuse for a drive one nice day soon. Should
I let you know beforhand ??

Terry,
Hope to see you at breakfast tomorrow.

copper
Thanks for the advice--if your dates end up matching up with ours (going or coming), you would be more than welcome. Easy to follow this caravan--just stick your head out of the window and follow ERA's "scent".

jpk
As with copper and others--come on along! Harris Ranch would be a great meet spot--give us some lead time re notice so Bonyhadi and any others (Claunch) from Bakersdump...er...field can make the run.

Jamo/Dennis/Turk/ERA/copper/jpk..... which route are you thinking of taking? I was keying in Fresno, CA to London, OH on www.maps.com and it plots a path the nearly runs through Phoenix, AZ. There will most likely be 5 or 6 Cobras and Hersh (BT SNAKE's) might have his GT40 ready.

I'd love to see some Californians joining up with the Arizona Caravan Who knows how many others will join us along the way??? The drive cross country is going to be the highlight of the week for me (or maybe the dyno shootout, or the drag racing, or the Raki, or just shooting the breeze with other Cobra guys and putting faces to names, or the money raised for CF, or, or, or....)

LESS THAN 100 DAYS TO GO!!!

...... and now I can answer my own question! Now that I key in Harris, CA the map shows an entirely different route - away from Phoenix. That's a shame!
