In Search of the Golden Road
AutoZotica has a cruise on Sat 20th. Visit www.autozotica.com for signups and if your car will qualify. The cost is 40.00 before the 10th of July. There is lunch and a car show at the secret destination. Has any one been on a cruise with this org. before? Is anyone interested in going?

Stan,
That looks like fun. I am going to be out of town on July 20th so I can not make that date but I would be interested in the future.

Stan,
I am currently planning on going to this event, although I haven't registered yet. I have never been with this group before. I met some of them a couple of weeks ago, and was invited along, so I guess our cars are 'qualified', but I haven't actually confirmed that yet. Are you considering it ?
Another event I just heard about is a weekly 'gathering/show' of 'hot rods' every thursday night from about 4-9 pm, at a place in San Jose called 'Happy Days Diner'. It sounds pretty cool, although I don't know about this thursday, the 4th. Does anyone know anything about this ?
thanks,
joe kennedy

AutoZotica Qualifyed
Note: Replicars will be considered on a individual basis. Generally they represent historically significant cars that are so rare as to preclude ownership of any significant numbers. These qualified replicars are specially crafted (usually on a steel-tube frame) will be powered by an appropriate engine and drive train produced by the manufacturer the replicar is depicting. The untrained eye will find it fairly difficult to ascertain the difference from the original car.
The untrained eye will find it fairly difficult to ascertain the difference from the original car. Guess that counts me out.

This was a long trip due to the hot weather. It was very organized with detailed instructions given to everyone. We started in Livermore for a lite breakfast with 90 plus cars. Most were Italian with a group of NSX and Vipers. There were three cobras. The drive was organized into four groups depending on ones desire for speed. We eventually ended up at Jackson at the Casino for a car show and lunch. Did I say it was hot. It was HOT. Very hot. I wish I had a top with air on this trip. On the return we again were on country roads. I guess I would have preferred a slower drive so as to get a better appreciation of the countryside. If any of our group would like to plan a trip maybe at a different time of the year I have the trip directions . Stan
