Default SPF almost here

I just got off the phone with Jud of Dynamic's located in Reno. (although he was on his cell phone in Monterey). He told me that my SPF #1422 should be in Reno at about 11:00am on Monday.
Boy! I can't wait. I'm going to buy a couple rolls of film, and be there in time to watch them off load my big, new, beautiful toy. And Oh! What a toy it is.

I'll keep everbody posted on the progress

On the 19th of Aug. I was up in Reno to watch them pull my cobra out of its shipping container. Dynamic's has 5 cars to prep, so it will take a couple of weeks before they can send it to the intaller. I'm going to use the 'Intrepid Motorcar Co' to do the install. They are located in Sparks, about a mile from Dynamic. They specialize in exotic & vintage race cars. They have done a couple of SPF's so far. I'm really impressed by what they do.
I'll update more when it happens.

The engine is a Ford Motorsport 392cube with 430hp. 3550 trany.
The color is SPF yellow with white stripes and silver pinstriping. It looks better than I could ever imagine.
If you are ever in Reno, You must go and see the guys at Intrepid Motors. You'll go goofy looking at the cars that they have there. Their address is 1665 Linda Way, Sparks, Nv 89432 Tele# 775-356-7389. The man in charge name is Bert Skidmore. A great guy. You might want to call first. I'm sure that they would welcome you.

You will enjoy talking to Greg. He knows more about the SPF's than anyone on the west coast. And his quality of work and finish can not be toped by anyone. I would like to have gone with Greg for my install. But he's a little too pricey for me. I'm just only a retired mailman. And I just didn't have funds to have him do it.

Wherever you go, whatever you do, no matter who installs you engine and transmission - stay far, far away from Ron Wheeler in Reno. Unless of course you have a lot of money to throw away on stuff that won't work.

I hear that a lot. That's too bad. Working on Cobras would be a nice thing. I went and saw Craig at Top of the Hill. It was a nice experience. He does fantastic work. He gave me a list of recommendations with some things I'll do myself and some other things that I will leave up to a him.

I have never met an individual that knows as much about Superformance as Craig. The word is he is expensive. I didn't feel like I was over charged for the work I had him perform on my car.

I will be going back. I hope for only scheduled maintenance !

Allen..

I went up to Reno yesterday. My car hasn't been preped yet. Jud was involved in a cycle accident, so everything was put on hold for a few days. I talked to my installer and he "promise" (with a grain of salt) that it should be ready by the end of the month,

Just a little side note: As I said in this thread. My installer is Intrepid Motorstorts in Sparks. It's owned by Bert Skidmore, a real interesting guy. He handled around 4 or 5 of the cars that raced at the Vintage car races at Monertrey. Any way, The guy who owns the D-type Jag that won the Phil Hill trophy, is flying the car and Bert over to La Mans for the 24hr vintage car races.
If your ever get a chance to see his shop, You'll see a ton of classic race cars. from Ferraris, GT350s, real cobras, and even Al Unsers 1985 Indy car (I think he won that year).
I'll have more of a accurate time table for completion in about 10 days.

I will be going up to Reno, the week of the 23th. Don't know what day yet. As soon as I decide. I'll let you know.
