It's Baaaaccckkk!!
Got my blue snake back yesterday. Flew down to San Luis Obispo and picked it up for the drive home (240mi). They fixed the oil leaks (breather on differential, minor leaks around oil filter), fixed linkage problem, put smaller jets in the 850 Holley, changed plugs, adjusted valves and changed the oil (they use GTX 20-50).They also took the training wheels off (they had it set up for only 3/4 throttle to protect the motor in the first 1000 mi).
WOW, does it run strong . The weather for the ride up the coast was good (mid-60's), and the road was open! The car gets up to 100+ REAL FAST, and runs smooth at constant freeway speeds (my radar detector-Valentine One-picked up smokery several times and saved my a##). Temp for oil and water are great (about 70 degrees c for both), and oil pressure was a constant 65 lbs all the way home.
I'll be at Athens Saturday AM with a smile on my face !!
