Default Finally got my car back!

My SPF is finally home where it belongs. I just picked it up from my mechanic. I swapped out the 3550 to a Tremec II (with the road race gear set), and went to a 3.08 ring & pinion (from a 3.73). I’m going down to Willow Springs for an open track event on Wednesday. The new ratios should be a big improvement for the track.

I’ll be coming down to Athens tomorrow. Have to get used to the new ratios. I don’t even have time to clean it. I just want to drive.

Thumbs up

So, Lew... How was Willow Springs with the new gears?!?!?

This mod is definitely on my radar scope...

Regards,
Randy R...

Do It!
This is the way to go if you are using 17” wheels. You’ll want to use the Tremec II (525hp or less), TKO II (for over 525hp or drag racing), and the 3.08 rear. It makes for a prefect close ratio gear set up. 5th gear road speed is the same as with the 3.73’s. But the first four-gear speed moves up. Makes the gearing more useful on the street and the track (road race). I just wish, I had known from the start. I would’ve gone this way originally.

Hope this helps you make a decision.

Lew
