First ticket and a great ride
Got my first ticket yesterday in the cobra. I was clocked doing 65+ in a 55 zone. It happened on Silverado Trail in the Napa Valley, after a wonderful day of just driving. I left Vallejo at about two, First stop was Sears Point Raceway. Where I watched the NASA racing for about 45 minutes. Then I drove out to Bodega Bay, up to Russian River, on through Healdsburg and the Napa Valley and Home. I arrived back in Vallejo about 8. Except for the delay in Napa, it was a fun day of driving in some of the greatest scenery and driving roads in the world.
Back to the ticket! The CHP officer told me, that being under the 15mph over limit. The fined will be the smallest amount. And since I haven’t had a moving citation in over 18 months (been almost 20yrs) I should be able to take the safe driving course, and I wouldn’t be accessed any points. I can even take this course on the Internet.
Last thing! I’ve got to have my speedo tuned. Since I change my tranny to a Tremec II, and my rear end to a 3.08, I haven’t got a clue as to my speed is in the first four gears. Fifth speed is the same as with the original Tremec and 3.73 rear end.
