Coast Cruise
I was just cruz'n the FFCobra forum and found this website for the Coast Cruise that Glen DiOro (Weendoggy) posted.
http://www.weendoggy.com/coasttrip.htm
Per the website there's two groups going one Fri and the second on Sat.
Here's a second website for the Coast Trip. It has a lot of info with links etc. Check it out.
http://www.ffcobra.com/ubb/ultimateb...2;t=000170;p=1
If you have an interest in going I suggest you make your reservation ASAP the hotel is filling up fast.
There's a rumor going around a few BACC guys are staying over Sun nite to dunebuggy and ATV racing around the sand dunes in Pismo Beach.
This should be a great trip...FYI

Stan,
I am planning on driving down early Saturday and then spending Sat night and Sunday night there. Part of my plan is to break off from the group and go to Hearst Castle...never been there and want to go.
BTW I think Mr. P and Mike V. have some plans for dune hopping on ATV's for either Sunday or Monday.
Mr. P is working on a 4WD Cobra, special built with 450 RWHP......that should throw up a rooster tail..

FYI.... Here's the deal.
The Saturday "Coastal Cruise" - "Ween Team" will be departing at 9:30am from Carmel Valley.
Our current plans to join the cruise, is to leave Athen's about
7:45 am and head for Carmel via 680 to 101. That should give us enough time to gas up, unload and reload a cup of coffee or two when we get there.
For anyone wishing to extend their cruise through Monday, we have an "Super Secret" ATV/Dunebuggy event planned for Sun afternoon. Mike Veramontes has arrnged for a van to pick us up at the hotel and bring us to the beach to terrorize the sand dunes. Everyone's welcome, of course.
I'm sure Mike V will put something on this thread. Right Mike?
Thanks,
"Mr. Potato Head"

Made our reservations for the Saturday-Sunday group leaving from Rio Road, Carmel. Karen and me will be lookin' for you guys. We're going to drive to Monterey Friday afternoon and get a room somewhere, and then meet for breakfast at the Bear Diner. This sounds like a lot of fun.

We're in for Sat-Sunday-leave on Monday!
I've been in contact with an ATV rental company in Pismo and if we can get 10+ folks they will pick us up at the hotel, take us out to the dunes and bring us back when we are done Plus provide us a group discount.
ok here's a proposed plan for those that want to ATV, We will leave the hotel at around 9:00 for a 2 hour rental returning back to the hotel by noon. From there you can drive up the coast, take a drive in-land to explore Santa Maria wine region, or just kick around Pismo Beach. Later in the evening (6 or so) folks can meet back up for dinner.
We do have some time to review options, however if folks are interested in going ATV'ing (and I know that we do have some couples and individuals that have already expressed an interest) We do need a head count to make sure that we have enough for the planned pick up and so that the company can have enough ATV's ready for us.
Here a site to gve you an idea of the ATV's and the area:
http://pismoatvrentals.com/area_info_main.htm
(check out the slide show and virtual tour)
NOTE we would be renting the same ATV's but from a different company
more to follow,
Mike

For all of you that want to participate in the California Central Coast Cruise this June I will need you to check the above web site for the current list of names and make sure your name is on it for either the Friday group or the Saturday group. If your name is not on the list you will need to e-mail me the following information ASAP at : CobraCSX@aol.com
1. Your name and the name of your passenger.
2. A current e-mail address and a contact phone number.
3. What area are you coming from so I can set you up with a meeting point and time?
4. Are you coming for Friday, Saturday & Sunday or Saturday & Sunday?
5. For those needing a room call the Sea Crest Hotel directly and make your reservations for 06/25 & 06/26 by calling 800-782-8400. Tell them you are with Factory Five Cobra's.
6. Will you be joining the group for dinner on Friday evening and Saturday evening? (Len needs to know this as soon as possible)
This Cruise is open to Cobra and Daytona Coupes of all makes both replica and real only.

I'm looking forward to the coast run this coming weekend. I'll be at Athens Burgers in Dublin in time to leave for Carmel by about 7:45. How many others plan on leaving from Athens?

Renee and I would like to thank our leaders for this trip. We had a great time and really enjoyed meeting the other presidents. I still can't believe the portions we were served at the dinner.
