Default Dyno Day in San Ramon

Hi Everyone,

I am a newbie Cobra owner and this is my first post. The Golden Gate Region of the Porsche Club of America is holding a dyno day this Saturday, May 29th in San Ramon. The cost is $60 for 3 pulls. I think there are still spots available. Check out the below link for registration info.

Jeff,

Is this event supposed to be Porshes only or are Cobra's welcome too?

Curtis,

Dyno Labs is located:
25 Beta Ct, Suite N, San Ramon
(925) 831-8240
rayrazon@dynolabs.net

Chris,

Yes Cobras are welcome. I asked this as well when I registered. I will be there with my Cobra. One of the guys handling the sign ups is bringing his STI. Should be interesting.

Jeff,
I tried to post there but different than ClubCobra where anyone can post as long as you register, that one required that I pay up to Porche Association or something before I can use that site. Is that true or am I not pushing the wrong buttons.

I had a nice Porsche for sale I would like to have posted there someone might be interested.

Turk,

I am not sure where you tried to post. The link:

http://www.pca-ggr.org/directions.html#dynoday

has more information about the event and how to register. Contact one of the guys, Jeff or Grant (click on their names to email them) to reserve a spot.

I am aslo selling my Porsche 930 if anyone is intersted.

Jeff

But mines bigger...........the car of course.

Check out Pelican Parts (www.pelicanparts.com) They have a Porsche classified section which gets a fair amount of traffic.

Here's mine: http://home.comcast.net/~jheng/Porsche_930.html

Jeff, thanks for the post and the opportunity to see how big/small your power really is. I enjoyed the tests and results and the SOUNDS of motors at speed. I'm still at the rear of the pack.
Thanks again.
Gary

Gary,

I 'm glad you guys showed up. It was most impressive to see the twelve or so Cobras rol into the parking lot. I felt kinda bad for the Porsche guys or should I say , lack of Porsche guys.

Can't say for the others, but Stroked 302- running real rich -timing back about 3 degrees ... 288.7 rear wheel HP 344 ft lbs torque.
I don't know if there is a conversion factor for motor power at the flywheel.
A tuneup, drop the jets a couple of sizes and set the timing advance a few degrees and the numbers would go up.
Up to worrying about too lean...not starting when hot...embarassing you BB guys. A street car.

My slightly stroked 302 FI had a best run of 327.8 RWHP and 355ft-lb torque. I was quite pleased.
