thanks. the guy at kassabian has an old article from a kit car mag featuring the car. theres not much detail. flier says 13.1:1 cr which i'm assuming is not current since the sales guy started it and the owner never said anything about special fuel. the rear wheel arches dont have the usual flared lip but i think thats how the arntz/butlers were, but not sure.

randy
not sure. guess I shouldve checked into it. I'm a novice regarding such. I was more concerned about the mechanicals and history, etc.

Koadog, I have a 80' Arntz. I bought it 4 years ago with 17K miles on it. I have rebuilt the jag rearend and replaced the MGB front suspension with Vette A-arms and coilovers. Really handles great now. didn't before. I have some pictures in my gallery. I enjoy working on the car, always fixing something. My Arntz has the flared lips. I think Butler did away with them.

Dan Fodge at Laguna Seca-early 80's in one of his cars.
Dan and Tim of Fiberjet Industries combined efforts to create the body mold, Dan built several cars, they sold some bodies to Arntz and/or Butler.

Since I work a few blocks from Kassabian and I am sort of framiliar with Arntz/Butler's , I'll pop over there at lunch and report back.
Mike -monster-
Ok,
I made it over to check out the car. It appears to be an early Butler with a (cough-cough) 350 chevy and 4-spd. The green is lime green. asking price is $32,900. The odometer shows 16K. It has a different type of side pipe that is 3" front to back with a kind of flare exit at the turn out. I didn't have a chance to give it a real good look but it appears to be in fair shape. They did say the current owner had bought it from them about 6-7 years ago.
While I was there I did have a little chat with Brad Kassabian on the DMV. It appears that he is also affected by the whole registration SB100 issue and has had a SPF sold for a number of months but can deliver it due to DMV issues. He is very interested to hear more about Randy R.'s latest update once there is more information available.
