Default October Nor-Cal (Sacramento Area) Breakfast / Mini Tour de Vin

Nor-Cal breakfast for October 16th is going to be a little different . I met with Bill Whitaker and Larry Siri today to discuss the plan for the October breakfast. Originally we had planed to go to Apple Hill after the breakfast at the Cornerstone Café so we went to Apple Hill to check things out and have lunch only to find a traffic jammed zoo. Seeing that plan A would not work very well with our cars we gave up on the Apple Hill orchard tour and hammered out plan B which I think is a great idea for those of us that would like to spend part of a day doing a little driving in the foothills and this is how it will work thanks to Bill & Larry’s knowledge of the area outside of Placerville:
The breakfast will be at the Apple Café just east of Placerville on highway 50 at 9:00am (good food and plenty of parking, many of us have been there before)
After breakfast we continue east on highway 50 for a mile or so to the Camino exit going through Camino on through Pleasant Valley which is a nice twisty drive through the country to the Villa Toscano Winery in Plymouth for some wine tasting after which we will drive about 5 miles back into Placerville to have a late lunch at Mel’s Dinner which should end our day in the very early afternoon.

Just to let everyone know, we are still on for the breakfast at the Apple Cafe and wine tasting Sat. the 16th.
The smoke from the fires in the area are going to become lighter over night. If the smoke is bad we will change out plans at the breakfast.

Hey Don,
Any word on who's going so far? I was wondering if anyone was going to post on it this month. I still did not receive the mailing list from the people at the meeting, and Fitz was working on getting one to us for the BACC group. I won't be able to make it to Apple Cafe' but y'all have a good time.
