I will be there (with wife). I live in shingle springs which is 30 min outside of sacramento, heading towards Tahoe. I was considering cruising to south shore Tahoe and heading around the lake to reno, but open minded if there will be a large group heading through sacramento up I-80. This is the first cobra event I will be attending as my cobra has just been completed. Feel free to e-mail me tjbert@sbcglobal.net or call @ 209-481-4098.
Thanks Tom

I'm going but I'm planning on heading up on Thursday. I think a couple of us will be leaving together from Athens and then we'll likely hook up near Sacaramento with those coming from the central valley or north bay.

If job doesn't cut me off, I will be going up on Thurs. Starting from Auburn/Grass Valley area. May go up 49/20 through Nevada City and the national forest to 80 (great run)...or not. Probably leave mid morning at the latest. About two hours from my area in a normal car!! First real trip in our new BDR.

Reno
Ok-
Let's let this run for a month or so to see what we have to work with--
I'm open to any meeting locations between the Bay area and Reno, but in the long run, we need to see what's most convienent for everyone. There will probably have to be a couple of groups. I plan on going Thursday, but it depends whether or not my wife can get off. This is going to be great- looks like we will be well represented considering how many responses we have just this first day !!

Hi All. As I posted before… Suzanne and I will leave on Thursday from Sonoma. My friend John (in his SPF) will be traveling with us, also Perry from B.C. will be in our area and may hook up with us for the cruise up. As we get closer to the date we can set some locations to meet and exchange cell numbers prior to departure. Sound O.K.??

Any of the bunch from Northern states, Oregon, Washington. I will be going out 44 and through Susanville. From the map it looks as if you come straight down highway 89 out of Medford it may be your shortest route. That will intersect 44 just this side of Susanville. I plan on leaving here the morning of the 19th God willing and my health holding out. If any would be interested in meeting up with me there and driving on over, give me a time and I will be at the Chevron Station on Susanville's main street.
I had thought about going to Sac. and then out 80, but that adds about 175 miles to my driving distance. Hope to see some of you there.

What happened to all the people in Washington and Oregon that at first said they were going? Anyone coming down from that way would most likely take 89 at Grants Pass, Oregon and come out just West of Susanville on 44. I plan to leave on the 19th and I will travel 44 all the way through Susanville. That is about a 3 hour drive for me depending on traffic. If any are going to be coming from the North and could giveme a time they would be at susanville, we could meet at the Chevron gas station on main street and drive over together. I can't get any of the others around here to go, as they are to busy with other things.

NWCC?
Hi Ron,
Exactly! So what happened to the rest of those North West guys? So far SteveT and FredH are coming from Washington. You've got highplainsdrifter coming down from Canada. You've got maybe three so far to connect with. Also, you can join us going in from down our way too, if it makes sense by then. Touch base with Brent and see what the pack is really doing.
Note - There was a lot of chatter going on from the Northwest crew a while back on CC/NWCC forum. Brent and others said they were "still working on it at the home", others "waiting for dates", and some were "shooting for it". We too hope they can pull it together and go as they originally discussed. Once the sun starts coming out more, you'll possibly see a few last minute signups from the NWCC crew.
NWCC Discussion:
NW Friends, you up for a road trip for a wester states gathering??

Duane,
I don't know what is going on with the North Western Bunch. For me to drive to Sacramento and then take 80 across would add over 200 miles to my driving. I can't even find any of the ones here that had said they were interested. If none of them come through Susanville, I will just drive over alone if my health will just hold out. Right now I am not in shape to drive at all any more than I have to for my doctors appointments and such. But I am still planning to go as I hope my health improves.

Ron,
Please let me know if you need any special assistance, if someone does not reply before then. We can all can ask around and see if someone (Cobraless friends) can drive up, meet you, and drive out with you in the Cobra. Good luck on your health. Thanks for letting us know about the situation. I will be keeping my eyes open and my ears on for you too. Hang tight.

Duane,
Thanks for the offer of help. I am really planning on being able to make it as I haven't had a vacation for 15 years and this would be a great relief for me to get with Cobra guys and just have fun and get to know the ones that I have insulted over the posts. I could drive to Sac. and take 80 with some of them, but that is adding over 200 miles to my driving. I plan to take 44 from Redding through Susanville and right onto Reno which is the route I have always taken. It is about a 3 hour drive for me to Susanville depending on traffic as most of it winding mountainous road. I thought that maybe some of the ones coming down from Washington and Oregon would take 89 I think it is at Grants Pass and that intersects 44 just this side of Susanville. As it gets closer I will know a lot more about my health and maybe more about who is coming from North of here.

WSCB Factoid:
Did you know that 98% of the attendees are bringing a passenger (wives/girlfriends). One lady driving her Cobra is bringing her son. Very Cool. Double the number of cars = attendees. We never anticipated this kind of turnout of passengers too.
