Palo Alto Concours - see you there Sunday!
Concours start at 9 AM Sunday morning, with cars being placed from 7 - 9 AM. Judging will commence around 10. This promises to be a great show with lots of original Cobras, Continuation CSX's and Replicas. Weather should be ideal - looking forward to seeing you early.
Thanks to all of you who signed up to show your car and everyone else who will be there. Jaguar is the co-Marque along with Choppers and (Field) Tractors.

Registration and parking of cars that are on the Show Field is between 7 and 9 AM. Thus all cars should be on the Field no later than 9 AM. "Should" and "actual" may be different things but . . .
Judging commences at 10 AM so all cars must be there before that - if like other shows I have been at, they may not let cars on the field after 9 AM as there should be spectators walking around.
There will be free parking around the show with covered parking in a very nearby structure for a nominal fee.
I know a lot of guys will be bringing their cars to the event but not parking on the Field. A convoy from Athens?? I'll already be there, but feel free to use this posting if you guys want to caravan.

Renee and I really enjoyed ourselves at this event. The weather was great with a slight breeze. There were 350 cars on display for judging. The corral parking was in a nice location with trees for shade.

GREAT SHOW!
I hope many of you were able to attend the Concours. I saw a lot of familiar faces and some new ones in the Replica Corral. Thanks to all of you who spent the day in Palo Alto. Judging from the number of spectators and comments, the Replicas were a BIG hit. Thanks also to John P. for bringing his GT.
This was truly an outstanding Concours from the sheer number of cars on display - I saw many Porsches, Jags, Vettes, Mustangs, Cords, Rolls, Bentleys, a Salleen, Maseratis, Ferraries, Packards, custom Choppers, other 50's, 60's and 70's muscles and street cars, and a whole lot more. Other corral cars this year included Vipers, Deloreans, Mercedes. Mark it on your calendar for 2006.

Anyone take any pics? Had to work a 14-hour day. Wish I could have seen it.

I took about 21 pictures, but haven't down loaded them yet. This was a good show. Anyone that has the hots for Superformance would have loved the replica corral, for almost everything was an SPF. There was one Kirkham, and a couple of Contemporaries.
The Shelby Cobra display was really nice. There were quite a few slabsides, an AC Bristol, an original 289 Competition, a Daytona, #198, "Dragon Snake" and "King Cobra". Got to check out Carrol's original 260 Cobra (#CSX2000).
I even had a chance to talk to one owner that had a really nice shade of blue on his 427, and he was kind enough to send me the paint code number over email today---so, I'm thinking solid blue for my ERA 289 FIA now...
This was a really good show and well worth the charitable $20 entry. Oh, and the Palo Alto Lion's club booth had some outstanding chili and chili dogs. Who says Palo Alto is the wine and cheese crowd?
