I was origionally planning on coming up Friday morning, but I may be able to get Thursday off work. If I do I would like to meet up wtih the San Jose crew and caravan up from there. I'm down in Gilroy so anyplace in SJ is great by me. I'm really looking forward to it.
On a bad note it looks like I need to fly to Dallas on Sunday afternoon for work but theres still a possibility I can grab an early flight Monday morning instead.

I was planning on meeting up some were in San Jose to drive up to Walnut Creek. I think 9ish would be fine. Just need to find a central point. I will give it some thought.

Hi Guys;
I ran off 680 today at the Treat/Geary exit at the CHP scales.
Do not turn left onto Geary (except if you want Chevron/Shell or right onto Treat, just proceed across onto frontage road park in front of Nextel building. If necessary we can park further along this road as well. Hwy entries are just past Nextel.
By the way CHP are doing speed checks right upto Reno, we need to be careful.

Final Meeting location;
Tom and I have researched at length and find it safest to meet at;
Take 680 North past Walnut Creek, pass the CHP scales, take the MONUMENT BLVD Exit, then RIGHT, then RIGHT again and you are in the Shopping Center parking area, (previously the Montgomery Wards Center - now KOHL'S).
Meet so we can depart at 10am.

That's a good spot just down freeway from the Treat exit, and there is gas in the area too.

I took a look around today at some spots that we from the south bay could possibly meet at. Since everyone is coming from different parts of the county, it seems like the most local spot is around 101 and 680. Since there really isn't anyplace there to stop, it looks like the next best stop would be at 680 and Calaveras blvd. There is a Starbucks there right off the freeway and also a Flames if anyone wanted to get there early and eat. 9:00 am would give us plenty of time to get to Walnut Creek from there.
There are lots of other spots like 85 and 87 ( 3 Starbucks there), but I didn't think anyone that didn't have to would want to go through traffic. Let me know anyone elses thoughts.

101 and 680 sounds great to me. Starbucks or Flames would be fine.
The wife and I will be there.

I drove by the exit Monday. It doesn't look like there is any gas there. So who ever needs gas might want to do so before that.

On another note. They say there isn't very much shade at the track. I have some pop ups at work, but they do not fit in my trunk. Just woundering if anyone is planning on taking any or if they have room for a couple.

Hi Guys
Gas is available at the exit before Monument Blvd.
Take Treat/Geary Exit, turn Left on Geary over the Hwy 680, you will see Shell and Chevron.
Cross back over 680 then take the next exit at Monument Blvd to our Meeting parking location.
