Great job on the photos, Andreas! We had a great weekend with the bay area cobra group....as usual. It was a pleasure meeting you and Molly...so glad you joined us. Looking forward to the next event.
A special thanks to Mike and Gayle for helping out when Reno was ill. Don't know how he would have made it home without the Mercedes "ambulance".
Sorry to hear about Monster Mike's breakdown. Hope he and Marv and all those who stopped with him made it home safely.

Great pictures! Looks like a great trip as well, despite the rain.
Is it true that because of the slope of the windshield in these cars, if your speed is right, no rain actually gets into the cockpit? Fact or fiction?

Great photos!! Looks like a ton of fun!! Thanks
Jim, you do not get rained "on" but the water comes over the top of the windshield and down the back of the glass and then ends up in your lap!! I guess I need to put wipers on both sides of the windshield!!

What a great weekend...for me anyway! Thanks for everyone's concern for Anne. She's feeling better today, but I don't think she will eat enchiladas again for a very long time! Thanks to Larry for the wine parties! We had a great time! See you all again soon!
Hope it's nothing serious Mike. I was wondering where you went!

Another great time in SB. The "rain" never really happened except for 10-15 minutes of sprinkles going over the pass to SLO (San Luis Obispo) on Sat. (Didn't even use wipers.........yes, they do work, but rain-X was sufficent) As you can see in the pictures the weather & show were great on Sunday.
We (wife Marv & I) on the other hand experianced another Big block design flaw on the way home as we were going thru Salinas. The rocker shaft on BB's is not supported at the end, this creates extra stress on the end of rocker shaft since it's not supported.........end result is the end of the shaft can break off which it did on the way back.(pictures tonight) Thanks to our support crew Andreas & Molly, John & Susann (who had AAA towing to get the car off the freeway. (sorry crew, I know you were looking forward to Cadilac margaritas at Chevy's while waiting for us to get a trailer) but thanks to Mr."P" Larry (who I called after we got off the freeway). he has AAA-Premire which we used to get our car the almost exact 100 miles to our garage. (good insurance against break down stress, I'll be signing up for AAA today, I asked and the tow would have been over $550 ).
To answer a few of Andreas (Learnings):
Point System- These are WUS points which can be awarded to individuals that demontrate a "lack 'o-sack" in thought, statement or actions. The actual leader is Tony R. who at the last minute canceled his Not Knott's plans because "it MIGHT rain and I have to get ready for the wedding"......... He was going to be driving "the coupe" AND since when does the groom ever do anything to get ready for the wedding
Mike T. is actually in second place on these points. Mike didn't drive his Cobra (he couldn't get a bolt out of the diff cover was his excuse ) Mike did ride in Reno's car part way including during the breif shower. Mike did add to his total points through-out the weekend but didn't catch up with Tony.
Larry's " oil" - ok I confess........when Larry moved his car we took some oil from a quart we brought and poured it where his car had been parked. Then pointed it out to Mr. P when he returned and as Andreas said Larrys only comment was "Looks about right (note: he does actually have a leak, but not nearly what was on the floor )
Thanks to everyone that did attend we had a great time: cocktail receptions, dinner, Spa (ladies only, though a few guys said they were prepared and had brought their speedo's), cars and just in general a good time!
Thanks again,
The "monster's"
more- pictures to come soon

Andreas,
It was great meeting you and Molly. Thanks for posting all those pictures. I told you this was a great group of people and they proved me right.
Mike, I'm glad you and Marv made it home ok.
Thanks to all for making this another great event to attend. We can't wait until the next one.

Jim,
It becomes fact once the angle of the windshield and speed of travel is set just right. Can you guess what speed that is?

Well Jim...let's just say the rain doesn't hit you in the face. My left knee on the other hand...
That's Anne and I in the rain photo. Rain does get in through the channels in the doors and under the windshield in the corners. Other than that we stayed dry.

Here's what made us finish Not Knott's on the back of the flatbed.
I'm upgrading to full billet pillars and roller rockers.
(the shaft broke where the bolt went through the shaft@pillar in the picture)

It really was great seeing everyone again and what a great weekend! Gee Mike , what a drag about the engine. I hope the fix works out.
Really was fun , although it was a long drive for us. I had to leave for Boston early which is why we had to run. I know Bernie and Hershal had a ball although it was a shame that there were so few cars in the show... only about 500.
See you all soon.
Steve

Hi Terry, Duane, Chris,
Thanks for the replies. I'll know what to expect if I get caught in it.
Terry,
I'm drilling my dash for an inside set of wipers. Good idea! LOL!
Duane,
The best speed I'm guessing is WOT?
Chris,
Thanks for the tip. The wife and I can share one pair of rain pants. I'll take the left leg and she can wear the right leg. Perfect! LOL!
