Default Unlimited Sound at Laguna Seca

Hot and Loud Laps – at World Famous
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
Thursday, May 4th - REVISED 5/1/06

MarqueMadness is offering a rare opportunity for local amateur track drivers to participate in the GrandAm test day preceding the U.S. Sports Car Invitational which happens the following three days, May 5, 6, and 7. MM has been granted two, forty minute exclusive testing sessions blended with the pro testing schedule for the day. Times are 9:10-9:50am, and 4:15-4:55pm. As we will be running during a promoted, professional event, there will be NO sound restrictions! Further details:
Number of openings: 32 cars total
Types of cars: A mix of marque cars, with no convertibles that do not have rollover protection. Factory pop up systems and hoops (i.e. M3 Cab, 996 Cab, Boxster, S2000, TT Coupe, Z3/4 are ok) A technical inspection will be done. The form used is available on line at: http://www.hookedondriving.com/downl...Inspection.pdf
Driver requirements: Multiple track days with a safe on-track driving record. This event is intended for intermediate and advanced drivers (Hooked On Driving – Groups B and C).
Format: The on track protocol will be mandatory wave by passing. This will NOT be a race, rather an outstanding opportunity to share the track with new friends, get great seat time, and hopefully build for a future event. We may open the day with some lead and follow laps if experienced Laguna drivers are willing to lead those new to the track. Anyone trying to hold up traffic or bonsai pass will be black flagged off the course!
Schedule: Arrival 7:00-7:45am NOT IN THE RACE PADDOCK! Cars will be parked and staged from the turn 5 parking area near the lake. A supervised self-tech inspection will take place upon arrival. 8:15am MANDATORY drivers’ meeting at Turn 5 – red EZ Up canopy.
Cost/obligations: Hot and loud day is $250 per car. In addition to the Hot and Loud registration, each driver will need to purchase at least one weekend MarqueMadness Festival ticket (includes race ticket) for $120. NOTE: There will be $50 in Shell V-Power gift cards rebated for the Hot and Loud laps, and a $25 Shell V-Power gift card rebated for the festival ticket. The net cost of the Hot and Loud laps AND the full festival ticket is $295…a smokin’ deal! (Two drivers may split the Hot and Loud on track event if both purchase an MM Festival ticket – no driver exchanges during a run session – split car would mean one driver drive one session and the other drive in the second session).
To register: go to http://www.marquemadness.com/tickets/ complete the form on or off line, and you’re ready. This event will sell out quickly so do it now! Rain or shine, no refunds. For any questions, call the MM office at 510-528-2050

Just bring your registration confirmation with you to the track – no need to go to will call.

We hope to see you at the track!!
