Saturday breakfast
Hi Bay Area crew,
I'd like to join in for breakfast this saturday, and I wanted to check the expected turnout. Baji's is a whole lot closer to my house (Gilroy) but I'd be up for the drive to Athens since it sounds like the west bay turn out hasnt been that strong recently.
So I guess my question is any rough guess how many folks are likely to show at Bajis?
Thanks and hope to see some of you saturday morning.
Daryl

Hi Daryl,
Given that "summer has arrived", I would expect turn out at both breakfast venues to increase.
From my experience with Baja's, one can expect probably 6 to 10 men to attend - could a few more, due to big change in weather. There's a great event at LSIR this weekend, so I'm not sure how that will affect attendence.
If it's any consolation, I'll be at Baja's on Sat morning
Hope this helps,
Randy R...
P.S. The food is much better at Baja's! Trust me on this one...

I'm goin' to a gourmet duck dinner with plenty of great pinot noir Friday night, so I'll take advantage of the extra sleep-in time Saturday morning that Baji's affords. And their hangover omelette is really quite good. The last time I was there it rained pretty hard while I looked out the window at my drowned beast. It should be all dry by now. We don't need no stinkin' tops! Rich

I should be there. I am going to pick my car back up from Custom Alingment. They need to order the new springs to put in. After taking it there, I know why it rides so ruff. The front springs are so low that the suspension has no travel. It is almost riding on the stops. So next week when the springs come in they are going to give it a work over.

What's the address at Baja's? My ERA is still in pieces but I think I'll come to meet a few Cobraphiles sometime this Spring/Summer. You guys congregate snakes every weekend?

Daryl -
Aren't you the guy leaving for WSCB next Friday? I had planned to, but arranged a round of golf in Reno on Thursday, so I'm heading up then. If you can get away Thursday, about 16 Cobras are hooking up in Walnut Creek. See the location page I put up: www.auroracobra.org/bashtrip.html

Thanks Tom,
I'm the guy. I think my last PM to you might have gotten lost here on CC. In any case, I was able to change my work schedule so we are heading up on Thursday to WSCB, looking forward to the caravan up there.
The bad news for me about WSCB is I'm now stuck flying to Dallas on Sunday, so I'll have to leave Reno Saturday

Scott: As it has been said before, Custom Alignment is *the* local place to get your machine properly aligned. Right around the corner from Bajis.' I brought my beast in for corner balancing and discovered it also had limited travel, so it now sets a little higher (which I don't like) but the handling is better, which is more important. I was also inspired to move my battery from the left rear corner (why in hell did they ever do that?) to just behind the passenger seat. Still out of the way, and closer to where the originals had their battery, I understand. With this fine weather we'll move outside to enjoy our snake and eggs at Bajis' this Saturday. Rich

Tom,
Thanks for the invite, but I'll have to connect with you later this Summer. PM me if you want to swing buy and take a look at the ERA some time. I'll be home all day Sunday, working on a deck. You could drop by and check out the Cobra then.
Doug
