Sounds like a good idea. I am going to do the finishing touches on the carb tonight ( if no daddy do's, or honey do's come up). So I should be ready to freeze my a$$ off this weekend.

OH hell yeah it's going to be cold. If I go to Livermore, I'm taking my thermal underwear. I may take Chris's suggestion and take the "84" route but if it's around freezing, I'll avoid it in case there's black ice.

289fia,

I drive 84 on my way to work every morning. I'm on the road by about 5:15 am. There hasn't been any black ice so far and the forecast indicates that it should warm up a couple of degrees by Saturday. So, unless we get some rain or drizzle late Friday, I wouldn't be too worried.

Chris

FYI:

Sat. forecast for Livermore

Sunrise 7:20

An invigorating 35deg @ 7:00am and Sunny

Should be about 40deg & sunny by the time folks leave after breakfast.

If you are coming to Livermore 84 is the best route (shortest, funnest) from the south bay. check yahoo or google for directions.

Mike

Still too cold for me to work on the Cobra, but my trusty ole Plastic Chevvy (245K miles so far) will keep me toasty on my way to Baji's. We had a good group of snakes last time; I tip me hat to you *real* men. Rich

Come on, guys...

The ride thru Niles Canyon and Vallecitos road is just beautiful, and the traffic is minimal.

If I go, it will have to be the closer of the two since I need to leave town around 9:30am.

I've got an appointment at the house at 9:30, so I'm gonna head over to the Rock House for an "earlier" breakfast - hopefully, it'll be dry
