Recommendation for radiator repair (aluminum)
Anyone have a recommendation for a radiator shop that can work on an all aluminum radiator? I realize that they will likely use an epoxy but just want to be sure they know what kind (not JB Weld). I've developed a leak and will be yanking the radiator this weekend.

Hi 289 FIA,
I've had lots of good work done here:
http://www.pankeysradiator.com/
They are in San Leandro.

Not 100% sure yet but initial observation seems to point it at the joint where the right tank and a tube intersect. The leak stops when below the hole; I was topping off the radiator at a T-filler and after about 24oz., I noticed a pretty good drip going on .
I'm going to yank the radiator this weekend and remove the shroud to pin point it but it's high.

I have a product that I purchased that is like a "plastic" or a "hot melt glue" 1/8" diameter coil about 3 ft long. It was purchased from a Circle track supply company. It is intended to be wicked into the affected area after it is carefully heated.

Thanks Tony! Good site. Anyone hear of one in San Jose on Old Oakland Rd.? Someone at work recommended them.
Rick: I assume a Bernz-o-Matic for heat source (like sweating copper?)

Yes, small propane torch. HOWEVER the aluminum fins and tubs are VERY heat sensative and will shrivel and melt instantly when the temprature threshold is exceeded. Repairs on the core or header area of aluminum radiator are next to impossible to do successfully. If the opening of the tube can be accessed by removal of the tank or by cutting a hole in it, you may be able to successfully render the individual tube non functional by plugging it with epoxy. Or maybe by bead blasting from the outside and applying "sealant". Good luck.
