Default see that station w/high octane @ sunol

Anyone see that newer station with eight different kinds of fuel? They have 100,110,114 octane. Is there any issues running say the 110 in my car? Any type of rejetting or anything? I have a 351/408 that is still somewhat new and All I've ever put in it was 91

thanks for the imput

If your engine runs OK with 91 witout any pinging/knocking, then any higher octane rating is a waste of money.

Higher rated octane is not bad for engine and does not require any changes to the engine. But you will be wasting a lot of money for NOTHING.

My 351 has about 415 HP at flywheel and it runs great with 89 octane.

Another consideration is most race fuel is not produced in a winter formulation. Mixing in 110 from the pump to winter blend 93 helps with fuel boiling in the bowls. It is a transitional issue but real nonetheless. I am only referring to volatility not pre-ignition.

You may or may not need anything but 91 octane. C/R makes a big difference in what you need. Alum. heads help lower the requirement too I'm told. Using high octane is like taking mega vitamins. You end up pi$$ing it away. The high octane sures smell good though.

If it's the one I've been to, it is off of the Andrade exit off 680 (opposite the golf course).
