Default Smith Cobra Gauges

Is There Any Companys Local In Bay Area That Sells The Cobra Smith Gauges My Oil Temp Gauge Is Not Moveing And Water Temp Is Showing Around 190 I Know My Motor Oil Is At Least That Or More And It Reads 0

Len,
Could you be lucky enough to just have poor grounding or supply voltage to these gauges? Have the 3 gauges possibly gone bad at about the same time? Hope it is an easy fix for you.

Actually El Jeffe the oil gauge works on the expansion of ether or some such, or is that the temp gauge? English engineering Anyway , you can order one from Dynamic and get it in about 2 days FedEx...

Mulv is correct, the oil temp, water temp use a closed copper capillary tube with a bulb at the end that is in direct contact with the oil or the water. The fluid inside the sealed capillary expands and contracts with the rise and fall of the temp of the oil or water. I bought mine from:

Are you sure the oil temp. gauge is connected properly. Many are not.

If you kink the tube it cracks and lets the ether out... you would think it impossible for the Brits to make F1 cars with their bizzaro engineering.
