Dec. 1st is the FIRST SAT. of the month... Baji's anyone?
Just thought I'd plant this in your minds. It's suppose to be pretty chilly but no rain.
Assuming my social director is good with it , anyone else?

Dead car. I've been unhooking wires and hoses getting ready for an engine swap next week.

Thanks Greg,
I'm really looking forward to it. If nothing else, you can't beat the color combination!
I went with The Engine Factory. The salesrep there was trying to drum up business to make his October, so he was willing to take a haircut and give me the deal I wanted (plus free shipping). Even so, they were really responsive and great to work with and their references were solid. Time will tell, I guess.

Nice Chuck! You're going to like the HP and torque of that puppy .
BTW - I won't be able to make it to Baji's on Saturday. My alternator is on its way out and needs to be replaced.

Might have to do Livermore. I haven.t been there in months. Could even do Sonoma's in Campbell. Never been there. They meet around 8.

Sweet looking motor Chuck and it has some nice bling, bling. What are you going to do with the motor coming out of the car?
This was my motor during the engine dyno session. It's always nice to have a pic outside the car when the motor is so fresh and so clean.

Thanks Gene,
I had worked a barter deal to give the old engine to a certified mechanic clubcobra member who was going to work with me on the project, but he has since gone dark. So, unless he reappears soon I guess I'll make a coffee table out of it.

Great looking motor Chuck.
Scott, RockHouse, eh? Damn, I'd have to wake up at 6:30AM again... in 45 deg. (if I'm lucky.) I'll either meet you there or I'll think of you as I sip my French Roast at 8:00AM in my comfy house....

Doug,
I have a new 100a powermaster single wire in the garage in chrome. Also there's a place in campbell that I use to rebuild them and they do great work. Let me know if you need help.

Doug,
Get one like I have. It has been great. If you want, I can get some numbers for it. I bought it at San Jose Diesel Electric. He had me redo how it was wired, and change my starter solenoid wiring.

Great looking motor Chuck!
Only suggestion is to see if you can fit a taller air cleaner on top of it. I know several of the guys were losing significant horses with too small filters. I'm about useless but if you need a hand dont hesitate to ask

Scott/Greg,
Thanks for the info. My original plan was to hold off replacing the alternator, because the car is going back to Reno soon anyway. On the other hand, I might be able to squeeze in a little more driving time if I replace it now .
I'm going to shoot you both an email with a couple of questions.
Thanks,
Doug
