BACC/NorCal Cobra Napa drive 4/19?

If you were following the thread from NorCal Feb Breakfast (see preview of WSCB t-shirt) the question of a joint club drive might be fun, especially prior to the WSCB.

John Marsey would check around the Napa and Sonoma areas for a meeting place. Probably not really early as many people would have to drive 100 miles. Brunch?

Since John is the Track Instructor for the Bash, I am sure that he will find some nice back roads .... with lots of gas stations in between!

How does Saturday April 19 sound? other dates?

Hi all NorCal & BACC Folks,

I am somehow in the early stages of organizing a NorCal-BACC get together in the Wine Country happening Saturday April 19th. This would be the usual 3rd Saturday of the month when the NorCal folks regularly meet for breakfast and a drive. (Thanks Ron for getting this thread going!

There has been some interest from a few of you Bay Area and NorCal folks to get together before the Bash. Sounded like a great idea and don’t think the two clubs have ever done this before. Well, I’m right in between you guys and thought Napa or Sonoma would be a good halfway place to meet. Always great driving but I’m sure most of you know how beautiful it can be here in April.

I’m waiting to hear back from the city and trying to get our own private parking area in the Sonoma Square for Cobra show, brunch, then a quick drive-TBD. I should know more next week. If this falls through, there are other options. As soon as I nail this down, I can make a plan and put it to you guys. Will be simple.

It would be great getting both clubs together just before the Bash as May is right around the corner. So, I wanted to give you guys an early heads-up on this and hoping y’all, both clubs, can get the word out.

Ps, Those of you attending WSCB-Track Day will be hearing from me very soon regarding Tech Sheets, Car Numbers, and Assigned Run Groups. That’s an inside-FYI

Sonoma is a great location lot's of good roads and the square is a great place to park if you can get it. We held Tour de Vin there a few years ago.

Unfortunately I'll be out of town the weekend of 4/19 so I won't be able to make it, but let me know if you need any info on the area or on getting the square.

Count me in! My wife and 11 year old son are argueing about who gets the right seat as I type......The 11 year old would fit in the trunk, is there a rule against that??

Let them take turns. One follows you in your daily driver there, and the other drives it home!

Sounds like a good date for me..weather should be good...We'll probably spend the weekend down there as it's about 4 hours from Quincy. Sounds like fun.

Maybe we can get John to talk about Track Day at the Bash, tech inspection, track lay out, what to expect ... and if Duane comes, bring samples of the T-shirt?

Wow Folks!

We are getting a pretty good early response here and hoping we have a big turnout for this fun little event.

Everything is looking good with the City and they have the spot reserved for us. Just waiting to hear back with final details.

Now I just need to get my motor back in the car.
