BACC WSCB Carvan
Hey All,
The time is getting close and I haven't seen to much in the way of caravaning, or in Mike's case Fordvaning.
Is the plan to meet the bigger group in Pleasant Hill shopping center by Kohls on Monument Blvd? If I remember right, we meet there at 10:00 am Thursday morning then left shortly after that.
From the south bay, we met at the Starbucks on Calaveras and 680 in Milpitas at 8:30 am and left shortly after that.
We can stop on the way up around Auburn or Forest Hill exit for lunch.
It's not much fun driving all freeway, so if anyone has a recommended route, that would be good. I will take a look and see what I can find.

Last time we left Kohl's around 10am and stopped for lunch at Ikeda's in Auburn. We traveled on 80 all the way up and got there around 3pm, which is when Tech begins. If the plan is to not use the freeway, we should allow more time.

I agree Dave. I don't think we need to be there before 4:00 pm or so.
I think we need to see how many people want to hook up for the Thursday morning drive up and where they are coming from.
How many people are driving up from the Santa Clara valley that want to caravan??
Is there anyone wanting to meet up in the Pleasant Hill area??
If there aren't many people driving up Thursday morning, we could all meet at the Rock House for the drive up. From there, we could go a number of different ways.

My preference would be to meet at Rock House and then take 88 but I'm up for whatever works for the majority of people.

I guess my preference is to meet at Kohl's and go up 80. I can only sit in my car for a limited time .

By the way, my wife is going to drive her car up on Thursday and has room for one or two other ladies if they want to go to Reno in a more civilized manner.

Thursday at Kohl's in PH and up 80 could work for me. More direct, longest and farthest trip in my Cobra and a little worried about potential problems. Stop in Auburn for lunch/fuel and hook up with any NorCal guys?

Just checking in on this thread. I'll be at Kohl's, off Monument Blvd., by 10am on Thursday.

Scott & Chris,
I would be up for 88 as I haven't been that way in years. No rush to get there and the scenery would probably be much nicer.

Let's plan on leaving Rock House by 10:00. If you guys want to eat there first, I'll meet you at 9:00.

Safe travels!
Sorry we can't join you up or back - Chris, Scott, Greg - think of me on your travels up and back - be sure to watch your 6's and 12's, especially when passing - it's now been a year

Tom,
Sorry you won't be able to join us. Without you, who's going to "take one for the team" as the CHP sneak up on us from behind. lol.
