Save July 12th - North Bay Event
We are working on an event that will take place on Saturday July 12th. It is currently planned as a North Bay excursion with a fun stop for lunch & car viewing as well as some wine tasting along the way. Details are being worked out now, but we are planning on stopping at DenBeste's Motorsport in Windsor for a tour of his collection and a BBQ lunch. (FWIW, the Shelby Club is holding a similar event in June @ DenBeste's.) I have personally seen the collection and it is outstanding. http://www.denbestemotorsports.com/. DenBeste is a Shelby continuation dealer and plans to have three cars at the Bash this weekend.
This event will be in lieu of the Tour d'Vin and End of Summer Run. Thanks to Bob Stinson and Monster for their ideas and continued assistance.
More to follow. Save the date - be sure to confirm with your co-pilots.

Tom,
You are the man! The showroom looks killer! Assuming my wife doesn't pull a fast one for Hawaii (she's thinking about it) count me in for that event! Let me know when that's official and I can spread the word on FFCobra.com as well!

PS Good to see you today! The ride home was awesome along 35!

Tom - this event is on my calendar. DenBeste's place is awesome. I suspect he will have several GT40s, Daytona Coupes and Cobras in various states of assembly. Anyone who enjoys vintage Mustangs will be in seventh heaven.

Tom,
Its on the calendar. Danette and I spent about an hour last night putting all the car runs, soccer events, cheer events, etc on the calendar. That leaves us with three weekends and two weeks open this summer to plan some sort of vacation with the kids.

Al - no problem on availability - please check www.baccevents.com for Registration and itinerary information. I saw the folks at DenBeste at the Wine Country Classic (what a nice group!)- they had a semi full of goodies (Cobras and GT-40's as well as a bunch of Shelby motors) - I think everyone will enjoy the day.
FWIW, so far, everyone that has sent a contribution in plans to bring a co-pilot - as I told you in the PM, this is a great introductory event for new owners and their spouses/significant others. It will also be fun even if you don't have a co-pilot.
Hope you both can make it.

RE DenBeste's in Windsor
I just had a "Sneak Preview" at DenBeste's showroom today as part of the NorCal Shelby group.
Folks, it was awesome. DenBeste has been collecting vintage "muscle cars" for quite some time, specializing in Shelby Mustangs. He has about 35 vintage mustangs, perhaps eight new Shelby American Cobras in various states of build, five GT40s (most awaiting engine and tranny) and even one Daytona Coupe. Mr. DenBeste really knows how to roll out the red carpet and treat fellow performance enthusiasts. If any of you are "one the fence" about participating, I have to tell you that it is really worth the drive. See you there!
