No problem Tim, glad to help with the fuel pump-- it was good to catch up with you on the drive to rescue the TR, and find out about your plans for a 289 FIA car.

I need to update my tool rolls in all my cars i think. (we used the 13mm out of my factory benz tool kit and a socket handle as a hammer to tap the pin back in.)

The people is why i dig the club cobra stuff. the shelby people i just dont understand them anymore.

Now i got to find out what is taking my motor so long to get done.

Dave,
For some reason I have a hard time believing that!
I have driven behind you plenty of times.

What's that old line, "if you're not the lead dog, the view never changes".

Thinking back on this breakfast a couple of revelations came to me:

1) I don't have enough HP. The way Chuck and Scott pulled on traffic was insane. I'm going to have to consider forced induction!

2) I'm GLAD I had wipers. Never thought I'd use them until that day.

3) Robert's real reason for the ticket: Chevy karma. Sorry bud, but you're the only one with the distributor in the wrong position. Just messin' with you. If it'll make you feel better, I say we all vote that Scott pay's for you breakfast next time!!!!

Smart move. Being lead or back of the pack is a risky. Back of the pack, you take a bullet for the group...lead, first through the radar.

I just finished cleaning my Cobra up from the weekend. Talk about taking bullets, the front of the car almost looks like it took a hit from a shotgun. The mix of water and sand on the coast highway was not a good thing - lots of chips. After I finish the touch-up work, I think it's time for 3M.

Robert, the bylaws of the BAAC state that the President drives rear guard during his term.

Based on what has been posted here concerning the CHP story, it makes me wonder if Scott installed a radar jammer in his Cobra

Rob, are you planning to fight the ticket in court or just pay for the citation?

Scott doesn't need a radar jammer, he has Robert.

Chuck and Scott just confuse the CHP by driving on the left hand side of the road...going south on Hwy 1.

I don't... And the resulting "patina" is a proud sign of usage.

I just finished touching up 13 chips (!) from the Saturday drive, and am leaning heavily towards 3M. Either way, I won't be driving Route 1 when it's wet anytime soon.

Doug has it installed, so you can check it out tomorrow.

Well, I just cleaned my car up today and I also had a fair number of new chips. The 3M clear bra does its job, but unfortunately it doesn't provide 100% coverage. My car has just shy of 4K miles and you can already see a fair number of nicks and chips on the front and hood.

Luckily, the chips are not as easy to spot on my car because of the color. I'm just going to let it go, since touching up the chips sometimes looks worse than just leaving it alone.
