Had my FFR done 2 times. First time was "initial" and 2nd was after everything settled. Corner balanced as well and the nice thing about that was, I got to find out the total weight of my car with 160lbs. of me inside: 2596.

Well finally got it out on the road for a bit. a quick 35 mile rip from the shop to summit road (17) and back.

Car drives well , the "under car" exhaust is quiet and everything worked pretty well. --however I am having difficulty with the ^&@#&# fuel injection, one day it has power, one day not, with no changes. --also having starting issues when warm. car runs very cool as verified with smiths repro gauges (fixed) and IR thermometer. so something is heating up somewhere and not liking it, or i have a electrical connection that is not happy somewhere.

Had a good scare with some zip ties getting too hot near the headers and dropping a heater hose on my header. --Also had a problem with my expansion tank design -- ripped that out tonight and working on some other teething issues.

Just think of it as--if I just had put a carburetor on it I would have been done months ago.

Painless Fuel Injection is driving me nuts. the MEFI4 based system "Perfect" from painless is basically grafting a GM computer system it seems with mods (firing order, IAC etc) to a Ford.

he latest problem is the engine stalling between shifts; so if you are at 2100 rpm + or - and take your foot off the throttle like you are going to coast to a stop the IAC and stall saver to not catch the stall and the engine stalls.

I spoke with the Painless guys and all they can say is "your doing it wrong".

Nice.

-- I need a VSS probably bit there is nowhere to plug it in.

Fuel Injection from Painless was the fuel injection setup by MSD and they (painless) are very proud of it, but they miss the point when you call for help.

I may go to a stock ford A9L computer if I cant figure this out.

plus the rain has got me bummered out on no longer test drives.

Coolant holds at 154 degrees with fans on at 2100 rpm and after spirited revs and running for over an hour (various revs) oil go to 90C.

37 miles on car.
