Alice's - New Years Day Breakfast and Run???
Anybody up for breakfast on New Year's Day at Alice's (or somewhere else)? Forecast for Friday/Saturday shows possible showers.
Meet at 9 AM or later for all you party animals. Cruise afterwards?
I checked and Alice's will be open at 8 AM on Thursday.

I would be interested. The earlier the better for that day. Alice's works for me too.

I'm ringing in the NY in "the city" and spending the night there with family, so count me out for anything in morning. Have fun!

Well, we could surprise the heck out of the Indian restaurant my family and I are going to for lunch that day. It's in Mountain View. However, I still prefer early morning.

If I can get my car back together by then (50/50), I'm in for lunch.

Same boat as Chuck. Stephen in Reno is looking for the oil pressure fitting that I need and is going to FedEx it to me. I'm going to swap out the oil pressure line at some point, but I'd like to do an electronic speedo at some point and do the work at the same time...just not right now.

Doug,
Which fitting? The one on the motor you can get anywhere, the one on the gauge is British thread. I bought a whole new line with the correct ends for Greg and I a couple years back.

The fitting to the motor isn't the problem. They used some weird size hose (metric?) that isn't quite 3/16". I visited a number of parts stores last week, and no one had a standard compression sleeve and nut that was a direct match for the existing hose.
Stephen in Reno indicated that the hose/fitting is part of the SPF install kit. He was supposed to ship me the part today. Thought this was going to be a quick fix.

I took a look at Yahoo and Accuweather and they are talking about a couple of showers on Friday, but Thursday looks good so far.

I took the Cobra to the Santa Clara DMV today and almost had to turn on the windshield wipers, though I have no idea if they work since I haven't tried them yet.

brunch/lunch looks like the plan
Based on the above comments, br/lunch looks like the better option - sorry Rodney
It looks like Dave B., Lane, Herman and Jeff are definites, with Chuck, Doug (perhaps in daily drivers) and Tim as possibles. I should be there as well as another SPF owner who has not posted.
Please post if your plans change either way.
Shall we say noon?

Tom - Noon at Alice's sounds good to me.
South Bay folks - Want to meet at the Union 76 station in Saratoga around 11:15 and leave from there?
