Awesome news Doug! Guessing you had a chance to get your side pipes installed before your freeway run.

Congrats, guys. You can now rest a little easier. I just hope in this wacko economy the various states don't go hunting for more revenue (and regulation). I can probably find a way to deal with the former, but they'll have to pry the ignition keys from my cold, dead fingers on the latter.

Santa Clara DMV rocks! They got us in, paid, sorted, numbered and stamped in no time.

Tim came up this afternoon to "try on" the 289 FIA, and do some roll-bar modification measurements, helped me take off my windshield so I could install my rear view mirror---then we went for a short ride. First ride on the freeway with my Cobra. It was *****in!

By the way, I was telling Tim about my personalized plate that I ordered:

" NUBIAE " which is the latin genus name for a type of "black, spitting Cobra".

Doug,
Congratulations on getting your SB-100 number and thanks for the 'test sit', it's a bit of a tight fit as expected.

The car rides quite smooth, the suspension is very supple and no creaks or rattles. The motor sounds great and Wow ... the car really goes! It looks good as is, but will look even better, once 'NUBIAE' gets a shiny coat of black paint! Thanks for the ride

- Tim

Arrived at Pleasanton DMV at 3:45 AM. Was the only person there until 4:30. By 8:00 AM there were about 10 SB100 applicants, and 30 other people in line.

I got my sequence number (#047) at 10:30, another guy got his at the same time, and he was in the mid 300's. Five Cobras out of the 10 applicants.

Thanks to everyone for the coaching.
